Removing make up
Taking your makeup off before bed is an absolute beauty must. Follow these five simple steps for gorgeously clean skin:
- To get rid of powder and foundation use a gentle cleansing cream or face wipe. Taking care not to drag your skin, gently wipe the cleanser or face wipe across your whole face until every trace of your base is removed.
- Next up is your lipstick. As with your base, the best way to remove lip makeup is by rubbing lips with a cotton wool ball soaked in a gentle cleanser until all colour is removed. However, for lipstick that’s harder to budge, Vaseline is your secret weapon - just dab some on your lips and wipe off with a tissue.
- The skin around your eyes is extremely delicate, so you need to take real care when removing your eye makeup. Use a gentle, waterproof eye makeup remover and cotton wool to gently remove all traces of mascara, liner and shadow, taking real care not to drag
- Once you’ve removed your makeup, you need to tone or rinse to remove all trace of cleanser and ensure beautifully clear skin. A good toner works well, as dose a splash of tepid water.
- The final step to picture perfect skin is a good moisturiser. After you’ve toned or rinsed, simply dab on your moisuriser of choice to ensure supple, soft skin.
